Intimacy Direction
As an Intimacy Director, my goal is to collaborate thoughtfully with artistic teams to support the director’s creative vision while prioritizing the physical and emotional safety of all performers. I am committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and transparent work environment through consent-based practices and clear, intentional choreography.
My background as a long-time theatre professional uniquely positions me to understand the priorities of producers, directors, and actors alike. I understand the pressure of creative deadlines, the nuances of character development, and the value of trust and cohesion in ensemble work. This perspective allows me to facilitate intimacy work that is both artistically compelling and grounded in ethical, trauma-informed practice.
Experience
I have completed the Intimacy Directors and Choreographers advanced training program. Additionally, I am a certified Mental Health First Aider.
It has been my great pleasure to serve as Intimacy Director for the following productions:
1. Picasso at the Lapine Agile, by Steve Martin
2. The Defining Factor, a devised production by Jenna Wyatt
3. Our Lady of 121st Street, by Stephen Adly Guirgis
4. Almost Maine, by John Cariani
5. The Flick, by Annie Baker
6. Affections of May, by Norm Foster
